Hi All,

Today when i try to open the Enterprise Manager, it didn't showed up. Even no error message is raised. Each time when i try to open the enterprise manager, a new process(mmc.exe) is created.

 Then I opened the management console and tried to add the Microsoft SQL Enterprise Manager to the console. Then it gave an error message as "Snap-in failed to initialize. Name: Microsoft SQL Enterprice manager. CLSID: {00100100- 1816- 11D0-8EF5-00AA0062C58F}

Does anyone have an idea about this?

easiest and best thing is to do re-install sql server client tools

DId you uninstall SQL Server 2005 recently?

No. SQL 2005 is not installed there. However due to some other problem, the server has been restarted (we don't restart this server normally). After that enterprise manager worked without any issue. Thanks for the response.
