    in my appliction i'm using ADO.net to connect the db and using the SQL server SQL authentication . so in the connection string when connecting i have to send the user id and the password which is risky.need to know how to encrypt this ...

    If you can explain you question in detail then we can give the exact answer. Anyway, if you are working with ASP.NET + ADO.NET, then you can encrypt you connection string that located inside the Web.Config file. Please refer below two articles. It may help you on this scenario. Thx…

    Hi chandana,

    although its after a long time from the date you did the above post, recently i wanted to encrypt my connection string in the config file and your post helped me a lot to catch up the how-to of it. Thanks a lot for your post.
