The attached file is to be used as the sample for the article KPIs in Analysis Services by Gogula G. Aryalingam. The file includes a sample cube. Download the file, extract it to your hard disk and follow below instructions to setup the sample cube.

1. Copy the included file 'KPISample.asdatabase' to a preferred folder.
2. Start the Analysis Services Deployment Wizard:
1. Start -> Programs -> SQL Server 2005 -> Analysis Services -> Deployment Wizard
3. In the Deployment Wizard:
1. Click on 'Next' on the Welcome screen.
2. In the 'Specify Source Analysis Services Database' page, click on the ellipsis (...) button, navigate to and open the KPISample.asdatabase file.
3. Click on 'Next'.
4. In the 'Installation Target' page, specify your Analysis Server. Leave the Database name as it is.
5. Click on 'Next'.
6. In the 'Specify Options for Partitions and Roles' page, just click on 'Next'.
7. In the 'Specify Configuration Properties' page, select the 'AdventureWorks' property under 'Data Source Connection Strings'.
8. Click on the ellipsis (...) button of the property.
9. In the 'Connection Manager' dialog that appears, setup a connection to the AdventureWorks database of your SQL Server instance.
10. Test the connection and click on 'OK'.
11. Click on 'Next'.
12. In the 'Select Processing Options' page, select the 'Full Processing' radio button.
13. Click on 'Next'.
14. In the 'Confirm Deployment' page, just click on 'Next'.
15. The wizard will now process and deploy the cube to your Analysis Server instance.
16. Click on 'Next' and 'Finish'.
