SQL Server Sri Lanka User Group

The SS SLUG is the first user group in Sri Lanka dedicated to Microsoft SQL Server, aiming at supporting SQL Server professionals and users by sharing knowledge, expertise and experiences.

	June 2008 Meeting The June 2008 edition of the SS SLUG was held on Tuesday the 17th, (due to Wednesday (18th) being a Sri Lankan public holiday). Watch out for more details on this page... ---
	The Heroes Community Launch for SQL Server 2008 was held on the 21st of May at the SS SLUG monthly meeting. Attendance for the event was based on a first mail - first served basis. Three presentations by each of the three SQL Server MVPs were the events planned for the evening. Read the "Minutes of Meetings" blog for more information and content from the session. ---
	April 2008 Meeting The April 2008 edition of the SS SLUG happened on the 23rd of April. Both the scheduled sessions were cancelled due to unavoidable circumstances. It was upto MVP Dinesh Priyankara to come to the rescue with a well received Q&A session. This content of the session has been put into an article by Dinesh and is published, and can be found here. 	New SQL Server MVP for Sri Lanka! Congratulations to Dinesh Asanka for being awarded the Most Valuable Professional title under the SQL Server category. He is incidentally the third SQL Server MVP in Sri Lanka. Dinesh, is actively involved with the SS SLUG and is a frequent author of articles at SQLServerCentral.com, SQL Server Performance and SQLServerUniverse.com among others. April 1, 2008 ---
